Today we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a reminder that God enters our stories through tenderness, reassurance, and accompaniment.

In psychotherapy, we see something similar: healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and understood in the parts of us that feel small, overlooked, or afraid.

Mary’s appearance to Juan Diego shows us a God who moves toward our wounds rather than away from them. Her words, “Am I not here, I who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection?” echo one of the core truths of emotional healing: safety, security, and connection foster change.

On this feast, we invite you to reflect:

🌿 Where in your life do you long to be met with gentleness?

🌿 What part of you needs the reassurance Mary offered—“Do not be troubled or weighed down”?

🌿 How might therapy become a space where you experience that same compassionate presence?

May Our Lady of Guadalupe protect you, guide your healing, and remind you that you are never alone in your journey toward wholeness.

“I am your merciful Mother, the merciful Mother of all of you who live untied to this land, and of all mankind, of all those who love me, of those who cry to me, of those who seek me, of those who have confidence in me. Here I will hear their weeping, their sorrow, and will remedy and alleviate all their multiple sufferings, necessities, and misfortunes” – Our Lady’s words to St. Juan Diego
