Maggie Maxwell, MA Clinician – Fairfax
Maggie Maxwell, MA is a Licensed Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She encourages clients in developing a compassionate view of self by reflecting on conflict through the lens of personal strengths, and to further refine this perspective in the context of God’s will for our restoration.
As a practicing Catholic and clinician, Maggie understands how the work of healing affects all aspects of an individual; she addresses the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical ways that clients grow within counseling. She sees the work of therapy as ordering our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions to the will of God and acknowledging our dependence on Him as well as His perfect plan for us. Throughout her career, Maggie has treated individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relational stress, spiritual suffering, and complex health conditions, including postpartum and maternal counseling.
Maggie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Benedictine College, and her master’s degree in education and human development from George Washington University. She currently lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and children. Maggie joined Alpha Omega Clinic in 2021.
