Dr. Su Li Lee, Psy.D. Director of Clinical Services
Su Li Lee, Psy.D., M.S., M.Sc. (Dist.), is licensed to practice clinical psychology in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of Maryland. She provides individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. Dr. Lee is also a certified psychoanalyst and uses primarily psychoanalytic-psychodynamic paradigms in her approach to psychotherapy. These paradigms are tailored to each individual person based on the person’s current needs and context. The focus of therapy for Dr. Lee is not just the current presenting difficulties that brought the person into therapy, but also the conflicts which precipitate and maintain these difficulties and struggles. She is interested in helping the person gain a greater understanding and awareness of oneself as well as one’s desires and needs. In the process of therapy, she hopes to help the person begin to live in greater freedom. Having had tertiary academic training which included extensive coursework in philosophy and theology, Dr. Lee recognizes the importance of existential, religious, and spiritual issues in psychological well-being. She also appreciates shifting social dynamics and the influence that has on individual psychological processes.
Dr. Lee has been with Alpha Omega Clinic since 2012.
