Dr. Mary Abraham, PsyD Clinician – Fairfax
Dr. Abraham is a Resident in Psychology who is working toward her licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Virginia. She is an integrative clinician whose clinical approach is marked by a deep respect for her clients and the courage it takes to begin the work of therapy. She works with adults – both individuals and couples.
In the past, Dr. Abraham has trained and worked at Veterans Affair Hospitals, the U.S. Naval Academy, the DC Superior Court, and community mental health centers. She completed her doctoral and masters degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Psychological Sciences at Divine Mercy University. During that time she was involved in research and academic projects related to the treatment of BPD, psycho-oncology, and seminary formation. She has presented on the integration of Catholic-Christian worldview into the practice of Psychology at the APA 2023 Conference. Prior to her graduate training, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology (B.S.) with a concentration in Neuroscience from Penn State University where she was involved in research pertaining to Borderline Personality Disorder.
