Dr. Antony Bond, Psy.D. Clinician – Fairfax
Dr. Bond is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who works with individuals and couples. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences (IPS) in 2011, where he specialized in psychodynamic psychotherapy and wrote his doctoral dissertation on working with clergy and religious clients.
Over the last twelve years, Dr Bond has gained extensive clinical experience as a therapist and supervisor in Catholic-based mental health clinics including Catholic Social Services in Lincoln, Nebraska, Catholic Charities in Denver, Colorado and Catholic Family Services in Arlington, Virginia. He has completed further training at psychoanalytic institutes, consulted for multiple diocesan marriage tribunals and religious orders, and also spent several years as a staff psychologist in St John Vianney Major Seminary in Denver.
Dr Bond is currently a full-time faculty member in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral program at Divine Mercy University, where he teaches and serves as a clinical supervisor and Assistant Director of Clinical Training. He has published widely including in Human Development, The Seminary Journal, Seminary Theology, The Literary Review, The Catholic Herald (UK) and New Statesman & Society.
Dr Bond is from London and is British. He and his wife live with their young family in Fairfax County, Virginia. Dr Bond did some brief work with Alpha Omega Clinic while a student in 2009 and returned as a clinician in 2022. He is licensed in Virginia.
