The Need

  • 1 in 5 American adults experienced a mental illness in 2022.
  • Mental illness is a common part of the human condition, yet stigma and lack of faith-aligned care persist.

Our Impact

  • 26 therapists across 3 locations in the DC metro area.
  • One of the largest Catholic mental health clinics in the nation.
  • Fully Catholic & Clinically Excellent: Our therapists are faithful to the Magisterium and trained in evidence-based practices.
  • We served over 1,100 clients in 2024.
  • We offer psychological assessments for seminarians and religious life candidates in partnership with dioceses and religious orders.

The Seton Fund, named after the patron saint of Catholic schools, was created to offer financial assistance for mental health services at Alpha Omega Clinic for those who are employed in positions that teach, evangelize and bear witness to the Catholic faith. Eligibility includes employment by a Catholic school, parish, diocese, or ministry and nomination of the client by their clinician based on financial need. All donations to this fund go directly to funding client care.

The Serra Fund is named after St. Junípero Serra, the patron saint of religious vocations to the priesthood and religious life. This fund addresses the financial challenges faced by many Catholic religious orders, especially those committed to a vow of poverty. It provides essential financial support for candidate assessments and mental health therapy services at Alpha Omega Clinic for individuals discerning a call to religious life or those who have already made their vows. To be eligible, candidates must be referred by a Vatican-approved religious order and nominated by their clinician based on financial need. All donations to this fund go directly to funding client care.

General Assistance bolsters our ongoing initiatives and provides crucial financial support where it’s needed most. These contributions allow us to respond quickly to emerging challenges, invest in vital programs, and ensure that we can adapt to changing circumstances. By offering an unrestricted gift, you empower us to allocate resources effectively, whether it’s providing financial assistance for client services, funding innovative projects, or strengthening our overall operations. Your generosity enables us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, ensuring that we can continue our mission with agility and purpose. Thank you for considering a donation that truly makes an impact!
