Marianna Taylor, LCSW-C Clinician – Ellicott City
Marianna Taylor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who is passionate about integrating the Catholic faith with therapy while helping clients achieve healing in their lives and relationships. She experienced a tremendous shift in her work with children and families as well as within her own family upon learning the Nurtured Heart Approach. She is now a Certified Trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach and believes wholeheartedly in inspiring the transformative change in any child through the use of this model specifically designed to strengthen relationships. She has also gained training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) for work with children and adolescents with complex trauma, emotional/special needs, or relationship difficulties. She has also worked extensively with adults and children coping with chronic illnesses, end-of-life issues, as well as grief and loss. She believes optimal growth usually occurs for children when therapeutic work is done with the family/dyads. She completed a post graduate externship with Building Families for Children with therapeutic foster care, worked as an Infant Mental Health specialist where she provided therapy for dyads in the home, and also worked as an Oncology Social Worker for 8 years. Marianna has provided workshops and in-services to assist parents and educators on working with children from hard places. She is a military wife of 15+ years and also works with individuals and children dealing with separation/reintegration issues.
Marianna received her M.A. from Florida State University in 2005 and also has a B.A. in Elementary Education. Her work is not only informed by her training and experience, but also by her vocations as a wife and a mother to 5 children. She joined the Alpha Omega Clinic in 2018. Marianna is also a Level 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd catechist and on the advisory board for Youth In Christ.
