Danietta Charles received her Master’s in Mental and Clinical Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University, a program which emphasizes the fundamental goodness and inestimable value of the individual human person; created for thriving in relationship with God, self, and others. At Divine Mercy University’s Center for Trauma and Resiliency Studies, Danietta obtained certifications as a Clinical and Field Traumatologist from the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, and has been blessed to be able to learn and practice both domestically and abroad in working with various forms of trauma.
Danietta acquired her Bachelor’s in Psychology at George Mason University, where she took part in researching multilayered diversity as it is experienced and engaged by students on a college campus. Years working in collegiate Catholic campus ministry prior to her Master’s coalesced Danietta’s interest in psychology with her passion for empowering others for greater health, freedom, fulfilment and wholeness. Danietta’s past experiences in the mental health field working with traumatized populations, culturally and age-diverse populations, persons in life transitions, as well as adolescents and young adults in crisis, among others, have informed her constantly metamorphosing approach as a therapist.
